Jim Wile, Managing Principal

Jim Wile and partner Steve McCormick founded CTG in 1991. Jim has extensive experience and a vision for heightened service and capabilities in the audio/visual and broadcast fields. After graduating from the Peabody Conservatory of Music at Johns Hopkins University, Jim gained engineering and technical experience at Eastman School of Music’s Recording Studio in Rochester, New York, later moving to WXXI-TV as a Master Control Operator, Audio Specialist, and Engineer in Charge. Once Jim made his way south, he worked as an Audio Engineer with Crawford Communications, one of the largest teleproduction companies in the country. He continues to expand his expertise and clientele by obtaining virtually every major certification and affiliation in the industry and enhancing CTG’s exceptional offerings across the United States.

Ed Pittinger, Director of Engineering

Ed Pittenger is a United States Air Force veteran specializing in broadcast television engineering since 1992. He offers extensive broadcast stadium and venue experience as the Engineer in Charge for both National Mobile Television and F&F Productions. Ed’s background includes working for Space Command, the Air Force Communications Command, and Disney Production Services. He was the senior engineer in charge of mobile unit production for numerous high-profile sporting events including NFL on Fox, Stanley Cup broadcasts, and Olympic coverage. As Director of Engineering at CTG, Ed manages integration projects, design and system development, and providing hands-on guidance to fellow engineering staff in installation.

Steven E. McCormick, Co-founder

Steve McCormick was co-founder of CTG and served as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for 18 years. Steve passed on February 20, 2019, and we miss and grieve our friend and colleague. Steve’s expertise and strong management skills were instrumental in the success of CTG, and his legacy lives on.
