Jim Wile | President
A native of Baltimore, MD., Jim founded CTG in 1991 with Steve McCormick. From an early age, Jim’s interests and talents put him on a strong creative and entrepreneurial leadership path. After graduating from Johns Hopkins University, Peabody Conservatory of Music, Jim gained engineering and technical experience at Eastman’s Recording in Rochester, NY. From there he worked for WXXI-TV as a Master Control Operator, Audio Specialist and Engineer in Charge. Making his way well south of the Mason Dixon Line, Jim next worked as an Audio Engineer with Crawford Communications, one of the largest teleproduction companies in the U.S. Upon starting CTG, Jim brought not only his extensive experience to the table, but also a vision for heightened service and capabilities in the audio/visual and broadcast arena. Holding virtually every major industry certification and affiliation, Jim’s leadership continues to enhance and expand CTG’s exceptional offerings – both locally and across the country.
Steven McCormick | Vice President
As co-founder of CTG, Steve brings a wealth of experience and leadership to CTG. In 1989, Steve was hired by Crawford Communications as an Audio Engineer and during his tenure was promoted to Chief Audio Engineer – overseeing ten audio production suites and a full staff of engineers. Steve’s technological expertise and strong management skills came together perfectly in helping CTG take flight. As an integral part of CTG’s management team, he continues to help guide CTG while further broadening the company’s breadth and scope. Steve’s industry affiliations include SMPTE (Society of Motion Picture & Television Engineers), AES (Audio Engineering Society) and PSNI (Professional Systems Network International).
